On Friday, October 21st six Wolf Creek Lodge members hiked the Loch Leven Lakes trail. Wolf Creek Lodge is less than an hour’s drive from the dramatic hiking opportunities in the northern Sierra. On Nov. 6th at , Nevada City Architect Katie McCamant and members of Wolf Creek Lodge will host an presentation about cohousing in general and Wolf Creek Lodge specifically. Members of the Lodge will talk about their individual experiences and why they’ve decided to downsize and move to this walkable, sustainably-built neighborhood . With construction well underway and only six home left, now is the time to learn all about it.

On a beautiful fall Saturday, Lodge residents visited their future homes. The top of the garage–the podium had just been poured, so this was the first time resident actually walked on their own subfloors (the slab). You can begin to really appreciate the great views these homes will have.

People who have lived in Nevada County and Grass Valley have a wonderful treasure nearby: the Yuba River. In all seasons it is a great place to visit. It’s a wild and scenic river that is fed by the melting snow in the High Sierras. In the spring it is a raging torrent.

The crew has been busy putting in stormwater, fire and water lines, digging footings for the East Wing foundation, installing the plumbing that runs under the slabs and beginning to prep the site for upcoming rains

On Sunday, September 25th, several members of Wolf Creek Lodge enjoyed listening to Judy Collins, at the age of 71, thoroughly entertain a capacity crowd of over 500 at the Veteran’s Hall in Grass Valley.
