Cohousing kitchen

Cohousing building

Cohousing home

Each home is independently owned, entirely self-sufficient, providing a balance between personal privacy and living amidst people who know and care about each other.

Cohousing is carefully designed to provide for both community activities and individual privacy. Homes will be private and self-contained. At this time, we are planning for 30 individual homes, and we are now offering three floor plans in addition to a few affordable units from which to choose. All private homes will be energy efficient and will be built with non-toxic materials using ecologically sustainable practices. Each home will include a well equipped kitchen, living area, bedroom(s) and bathroom(s). Most will include outside decks or patios and sitting areas along the shared outdoor walkway. In addition to the square footage in their private homes, members will look upon the Common House as their own expanded living space.

For visitors, we will have two private, fully accessible guest rooms with adjacent bathrooms. We envision family members and friends staying here and, if they like, joining us in our community social activities.

We will also have a one bedroom suite above the Common House that can be used by a caregiver should the need arise. In the event that one or more members require professional assistance, a caregiver could live on site.
