Loal Paper:”The Union”
I enjoy our local paper “The Union”. It’s great for local news as well as national and international news, as much I care to know, aside from watching the news on TV occasionally. The paper can be covered in an hour . You get stories about the local merchants,the cultural events, the charities and clubs, our hospital, which has won awards for their excellent care and their health programs. The small farms around here, gardening advice, great recipes , the great outdoors, etc. In short, you get the flavor of the place. Before we moved here from Detroit I subscribed to the paper just for once a week. Now you can get the Web edition, which makes it easy to read the whole thing. Some of you might want to try the paper to learn more about Grass Valley and Nevada city before you move here. just a thought. Magdalene
Yes, the Union is a great way to get a feel for the area and how much is really going on here while it still retains that small town feel.
