National Cohousing Conference

June 19, 2012

12 members of Wolf Creek Lodge attended the National Cohousing Conference in Oakland during the weekend  of June 16th.  This conference is organized by The National Cohousing Association.  Over 300 people attended.  They were residents of cohousing communities and people seeking information.  They were interested in cohousing as a life style choice and in the various communities.  The Wolf Creek Lodge participants all sported bright green T-shirts.  We had a booth promoting Wolf Creek Lodge and a reception room on the Sunday afternoon.

The workshops included sessions on many cohousing topics including “Forming new communities”, “How to get the work done”, “Resales strategies”, , “Singing in Community”, “Senior Cohousing” and many others.

At the banquet on the last night the architect and project manager of Wolf Creek Lodge received Cohousing Life Time Achievement Awards.  Congratulations to Katie McCamant and Chuck Durrett.
